I've said it before, and I will certainly say it again, Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. So of course I am just loving New York right now. By all accounts, Fall lasts forever here. Perfect! If only I had more time to get out and play in the leaves... but driving through the falling leaves is more than I could ask for. A week or two ago I drove to work through what seemed to be a one car ticker-tape parade. The flakes of glittering sunshine dancing in the breeze completely took my breath away and I had one of those moments, when the beauty all around filled me with such an amazing happiness that it hurt.

| THE WORLD is charged with the grandeur of God. | |
| It will flame out, like shining from shook foil; | |
| It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil | |
| Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod? | |
| Generations have trod, have trod, have trod; | |
| And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil; | |
| And wears man’s smudge and shares man’s smell: the soil | |
| Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod. | |
| |
And for all this, nature is never spent; | |
| There lives the dearest freshness deep down things; | |
| And though the last lights off the black West went | |
| Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs— | |
| Because the Holy Ghost over the bent | |
World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.
